Advancing the materials science of quantum technology
The Northeast Quantum Forum (NEQT) brings together the region’s quantum materials community — academic researchers, graduate students, and industry scientists — for four days of talks, posters, and discussion focused on the synthesis of materials for quantum technology.
NEQT 2026 is hosted by the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, and builds on the success of the 2024 and 2025 forums, continuing to grow as a home base for the Northeast’s quantum materials research community.

Sips of Science: Harnessing Quantum Materials for Technology
Tuesday evening, October 13, NEQT heads out into the community for a Seacoast Sips of Science event — a casual, public talk on harnessing quantum materials for technology. No scientific background required, all are welcome.

NEQT & New England I-Corps
NEQT 2026 is a partner site for New England I-Corps’ Spark Online: Quantum cohort — an NSF-funded program (based at MIT) that helps researchers and innovators explore the commercial potential of quantum technologies.
About the cohort
Running September 23 – October 28, 2026, Spark Online: Quantum guides teams working on quantum computing, sensing, communications, materials, and emerging applications through NSF I-Corps customer-discovery methodology — validating ideas, reducing risk, and building a path toward the national NSF I-Corps Teams program.
The cohort culminates in participation at NEQT 2026 (October 13–15), where teams present their work, network with the region’s quantum materials community, and compete for a $1,000 poster prize.

All registration packages include meals throughout the event. Upon completing registration, you will receive an email with a hotel booking code for specially negotiated conference rates.
Poster submissions will be reviewed, and a selection will be elevated to oral presentations.
Getting to campus
Venue
NEQT 2026 takes place in Stillings Hall, on the northern side of the UNH campus in Durham, NH. A full campus map is available from the university’s facilities website.
From Boston Logan Airport
Amtrak Downeaster — Subway to Boston North Station, then direct rail to the Durham–UNH station, right on campus. About $30 total, ~2 hours.
C&J Bus Lines — Direct service to Portsmouth, NH ($24, ~1.5 hrs), then taxi/rideshare to campus (~$30, 25 min).
Parking
Sage Way Visitor Lot — $1.85/hr, 7am–9pm daily, no time limit. ~15 min walk to venue. Free evenings/overnight.
Edgewood Rd & Campus Crossing Lots — $1.85/hr, 7am–9pm, 4-hour max daytime; free evenings/overnight (winter restrictions apply Jan 1–Apr 1).
